View Full Version : Teutonic Champion question
I have another Teutonic Knight question:
Why isn't he dressed in white and why he does not have a black cross on his outfit?
Teutonic Knights were monks, and had a very specific uniform.
It does not make any sense to miss something so cool from the game.

cause units are recognised by wearing their kingdom's colours. if every teutonic knight is black-white, how to differ them on the battle field?
but a black cross would be possible, i think

hmmm...
Does that mean, that Teutonic Knights that belong to Teutonic Order will be dressed in their typical color?
That is very good
Also, that means that Teutonic Knights will be availabe to other realms than Teutonic Order....
That I don't like too much...

yes.
teutonic knights availability:
germany, baltics and poland (whatever that means exactly).
availability depends on realms, not on kingdoms. so even if the teutonic order is destroyed, teutonic knights are still available!

the unit availability depends on:
Province
Region
Kingdom
More we got to tell a bit later. It may seem a bit complex but it isnt. As for the Teutonic Knights, it is not a German (todays German teritory) special unit that is for sure ... But it will be available in some parts of Germany..
I guess Teutonic Knight will be available as a unit in those parts of Germany that contributed most heavily (in terms of members) to Teutonic Order.
So in this case "Teutonic Knight" means - "Knight that is the same as Teutonic Knight and potentialy can be one"
That makes sense to some extent.
Does that mean, that Teutonic Knights from Germany will be able to somehow join Teutonic Order, or is it simply unit sharing?
In any case - that unit should not be available to Polish or Lithuanian or any other faction - except Germany or Teutonic Order - since that would not make much sense...

But isn't it a bit strange, if Teutonic Knight fights against his own order?
I know that KoH isn't CNN, it is only a thought. And if I think about it it isn't possible to make it unpossibel I suppose...What shoul he do, go home?

maybe they should add a feature: both teutonic knights and templars refuses to fight against members of their orders. so you have to leave them out from battle.
but maybe this way it would be too easy to fight against the "kingdom" of the teutonic order

Perhaps the templars/teutonic knights should suffer a big morale-hit (both squads), so they will propably just step back instead of fighting. So they will only fight when they are high on morale ( which basically means that they hate the enemy really badly ).

Yay, I'm glade to see that the Teutonic Knight will be a rarity within the game just as they were in real life. I'm also glade you’re going to try and keep it to the territories in which the order actually owned.
