Has your Spy ever failed to hand over an Enemy Crown?

I was playing as Germany, and one of my spies infiltrated Cordoba as a Marshal and eventually became King of Cordoba.

When I told him to hand over the Crown, he refused and took command of Cordoba himself. :eek:

Has anyone seen this before? I was totally shocked.

Before you ask, I know he wasn't an enemy spy because he was the current Emperor's uncle (or great uncle).

yes, such things happen.

It is a version of spy's failiure. He just decides not to follow your command when he rules a kingdom. Tha same like when your marshall goes on crusade and founds new state
