need help whith Radeon drivers

need help.please
i have Radeon 9600(game buster) 256 mb-card,win XP
as you now all the time comes out new drivers.so
i try to install new driver Catalyst 6,8 and tnen restart pc.
but it dont work.like i dont have any driver at all.then i try to install pre version 6,7; than6,6: than 6,5 and only 6,4 work.why?i dont undestend.what i need to do to make anather drivers work.Thanks

thank.you think that help?but i was installing catalyst 6,4 over 6,5 and its ok.wen i install 6,8 over 6,4 not.and all the time i was install new driver over old one.and all was good.but now i don now why?thaks again

sometimes old ini settings or registry keys prevent things from working.
try to remove all ATI stuff cleanly. restart the machine and install the newest from scratch.

if it's not working. we'll look for the eventlog and the hardware manager to get a clue whats wrong.

Ich spiele mit den Driver 6.7 von ati. Meine Grafikkarte ist eine MSI 9800 PR0 128 TD und wichtig ist das du Wait for vertical refresh auf On unless application specifies stellst, denn wenn du das nicht machst haste" laggs."(stopp and go) Betrifft nur die Wasseranimationen.

nathing happend,i install omega driver and the same sh..
its iven not like i dont have any driver its look like you watching on monitor whith out any color,like 8 bit,
so please help me.whot i gonna do whith this???

4bit colors is default with none graphic driver working. it's quite ugly!

please look in the device manager:
start > run > "%windir%\system32\devmgmt.msc" ENTER

locate your graphiccard and check the status.
maybe the properties box says, code 10 driver couldn't be loaded or similar.

did you catch the right driver?
cataclyst 6.8 needs the .net framework:

i think so.i think i was install -net framework:i remember that control panel was not open whith out it.so tell me 6,4 dont need framework?6,5?6,6?all that drivers dont work,only6,4.
omega last driver dont work too-i dont think that is card problem.if it was,all drivers was not work.

maybe you kann tell me the last driver for RADEON 9600.that will work normaly-

maybe the changed something in the driver code, like the .net requirements.
which .net framework did u install? 1.0, 1.1 oder 2.0 beta ...

maybe you also try to contact the ATI support

2.0 differs alot from 1.1, so this might be the problem ...

the 2.0 donwload they have on their site for the 6.8 driver.

the don't offer en email adress. submit a support ticket:

is some kind of internal forum for them. we use a similar support system.

which win version do you use? 2k, xp, xp64 or vista?

yes i see i will try today 6,9.
i have win xp 2 pac,i was instal it few weaks ago.befor that it was win xp 1 pac.but there was the same problem whith drivers.only 6,4 work.i thinkin thats win problem and instal new one.but its not lisense version.for examlel if i want install somthink from micrasioft site i cant doit,it sad das i need somthin (georgius ore some key .i dont remember).so i dont now whot to do.

first you need to buy a windows licence, from ebay for example.
as publisher we cannot tolerate software copying.

i was reinstal net frame work from 1.1 to 2.0
and install Catalyst 6,9
(fhirst start disk cliner)
and -surprize. all work
