Does anyone know if the Special Edition version of Anno1701 and the strategy guide will be released in the US?

It WILL be released in the US. No worries, Aspyr has made it clear.

I just saw a picture of the special edition in English. But the rating was not an ESRB but the European version of it.
Does anyone know about an American Release of the Special Edition?

Can any one give a true answer for the question of releasing Special Edition in english language in GB or USA?
Or maybe somebody know if Sunflowers talk with foreign companies about SE or similar set?

I just sent an E-mail to SUnflowers and they say "only in German".
Oh well, I hope that with enough pressure we can force them into sending the SE to the US or the UK.

Maybe Sunflowers will be able to sell english SE via internet - i think that 1701 copies will "flow" immediatly :).
Anno 1701 is one of the few games for which I'm waiting so impatiently and looking forward to hear something about special add-on's.
The question is: how we can show our demands? Petition-online?
We have only several active, english-speaking users and dunno how many of them are interested in paying twice for the game with special stuff.
On the other hand, as I said above, selling 1701 english copies world wide should be rather easy...

All this talk of a special edition. What is in the special edition?
I also know that when they marketed 1602 in the US it was a version with the same features as the King's edition for the German 1602. Could it be we don't need the special edition?

I think maybe we can post a new thread in the forum about "Force Sunflowers to sell the Special Edition in English" thread.
Wait I'll do that right now!

Special Edition contains an Art Book and a few other Anno-related goodies that mark the third installment of Anno. Like the Age of Empire Special Edition.

But it has no difference in the gameplay? That is a nice to have maybe but I'm more interested in the game.

No difference that I'm aware of (fortunately, as I doubt my petition list will carry any weight with Sunflowers).
I myself would not be interested in the Special/Limited Edition, I just want the game, all that extra fluff is non-important, and personally I think you would be wasting your time to try to force a publisher to market something that is probably not going to make them a profit.

Probably agree with that. No petition will change Sunflower's mind. There's just too small a customer base in the US or UK for them to bother.
I'll keep the thread though, just to see how much interest there is in it.
