Empire Earth

Is Empire Earth worth buying? Also is it turn based, I don't care for turn based games such as Civilization. I had read that it was developed by programmers that were part of the AOK team. Does it match up to AOK? Any info would be appreciated.

It's somewhat good - you can start from the ancient times till the near future (unlike AoE). But it had some flaws and is a little bit older. I suggest you get Rise of Nations! They're both RTS but RoN is newer and, I think, a little bit better.
