I need a little bit of advice on the mission where the heroes first travel to the Icewaste. I'm at Epoch Two, and already I'm being bombarded from three sides by the Barbarians. I have to be careful about using my resources. So can some people please tell me some strategy tips and advice on how to make sure the Barbarians don't get the better of me.

I don't know if this is actually true, but I suggest against building walls and towers, as I think it is some sort of "marker" for the AI to start attacking you harder. I have another suggestion: advance through the epochs as quickly as possible, while building transporters along the way. Also, when you get to epoch 3, keep your medium dino farm, and then build a separate large dino farm, or convert a small dino farm. Odds are, you wont have enough food to make a brachiosaurus right off the bat, so if you have a medium dinosaur farm, you can crank out stegosaurus to help you. Also, make some spare workers, and have them build two or three slaughterhouses. Move you mobile camps in front of the slaughterhouse, and employ four workers to them. This will make your food soar. :go:

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it, but I still have a few more questions:
1. So if I assign 8 workers to Slaughterhouses, how many should I assign to wood and stone?
2. What units should I produce? I know that I have to produce Stegosaurus transporters, but what else? I don't have enough food to produce a Brachiosaurus, but the Barbarians already have Battle Rhinos and Kentrosaurus to back them up.
3. Should I reach Epoch 4 first or produce a Brachiosaurus first?
I would advise to buy some extra heroes (Taslow!) in the point buy and build a temple soon. It's useful to build walls at the left and right sides of your base secured with taslow towers. Build two bazaars and some trade carts, for stone will become a problem. At the same time rush the barbarian base in the middle with heroes soon. Use Bela's sniper shot to bring down the towers. Retreat every now and then and heal your heroes at the temple, but continue attacking the outpost until it is defeated.

So this is what you advise:
-Buy Taslow which means I now have 5 heroes.
-Build walls along the left and right side secured with Taslow Towers.
-Build two bazaars with trade dinos.
-Use the hit and dart strategy in order to bring down the Barbarian outpost.
Sorry, but I still have a few questions:
1. So I don't have to assign any Workers to wood and stone? And should I still build two or three Slaughterhouses and assign Workers as Alpha Dilphosaur had mentioned above?
2. What units do you suggest that I produce?
3. How many Taslow Towers should I build on each side? And what bout the north side?
1. Assign workers to the ressources you need. If you are short in stone, assign more to stone etc. I would advise to never use fixed assignments, but to react to the situation. If you try the taslow tower strategy you will need more stone and wood as if you concentrate on dinos.
2. What units to produce ... I like stegos and ankylo catapults (half of them with stone ammo, half with veloci eggs) and a nice load of spear throwers and veloci handlers (because they are cheap and fast to reproduce if killed). That should do fine if you keep an eye on your heros and use their special moves.
Once you fortified your base you can switch to brachios and t-rexes.
3. Well, a wall with a gate plus half a dozen taslow towers or more should be fine for all sides. I do the north side last and don't close it with a wall, because all my units are there (and a temple) and with the help of half a dozen taslow towers the enemies are no big deal.
As you see, this strategy needs loads and loads of stones. So to use this strategy it is vital to have trade dinos, because the stones don't last long. It is not easy in the beginning, because you have to manage the defense with towers, the bazaars and trade dinos and the hero special moves all at once.

It's also going to take a lot of food as well. Anyways thank you for the advice.

Sorry for double posting, but your strategy worked perfectly. The Taslow towers have helped me tremendously, and I have managed to create my Titan and destroy the Outpost. Now attacks don't happen that much anymore, and all I have to do now is focus on the main base.

don't forget the brachio catapults. Those can be used to take out your enemy towers without having any of your other units die.
