Part of "Dreamland" Area 51 is in range of Nellis Air Force Base. How to go:

From Las Vegas, Nevada, travel in a north-easterly direction on Interstate 1-15 (heading for Salt Lake City, Utah) for a distance of about 22 miles, then turn left onto US Hwy 93 for about 85 miles, then turn left again onto Nevada State Hwy 375 for about 14 miles, then left once more at the bottom of Han**** Summit onto a two-land gravel road that is well mantained for about 13 miles, follow this until you reach the first guard post that is located on top of the Groom Mountain Area.
Aproach with caution and don't cross the grids. Guards have permission to shot-death.

The guard post is far away from the base, you can't see it from that point . But the road is public and a group of tourists who don't know the way can lose them, and casually :D find a control where you can ask to the friendly sentinels (leave your car at sight before get too close to the "door" and one person can approach at foot. Of course you couldn't pass through.) Other way you can turn your way without reach the control and leave.

Some UFO crazies leave they car off-road and go closer to the grid around the complex. I think it can be dangerous.
