Hey,

I got a problem with anno 1602, the thing is every time I play with a mate or by myself the game shuts down every now and then for some reason, I dont know why.

like an error or something, any new patches or tips you could share with me?

What system are you on? XP/NT 98. If its XP you know how to turn your acclerations down for graphics thats where it is. This is most likely your problem...:smile:

I am using XP, found another thread regarding the accelerations, so I fixed that and Im just about to try Anno again.

I have a new problem now, I downloaded the latest "International patch" and its quite bugged, really bugged. Diffrent icons, the citys are like messed up, and I cannot find any maps.

Any ideas?

If you have the US version which is named 1602A.D. you don't need any patches!! it's fully patched and fine.. as a matter of fact you don't need the CD.. its only needed for the music! :wink:

I have the Eng EU version, I do need the CD here tho to be able to start a new game, tho can launch the game fine.

Ok that would have been another thing to post about, for more information on what you have and what is happening is always helpful. I don't know if that version needs a patch or not, I'm sure it might, most of the European and eastern half of the world versions got patched very soon after they were made I think. (I pm'd you about IM's do you use or have any??) that way we can talk a lot faster then this..:wink:

Hey again,

felt like adding in this information

- I am trying to play multiplayer with a friend of mine, he is the one hosting the game and he did the same changes as me with the acceliration things.

- I have tried closing the videos & music in-game as well, It did help when I were crashing when a movie came up, tho I am still crashing every now and then.

- We both have Windows XP sp2
