There are so many options in KoH that we could not be without one, thus there will definately going to be tutorial. ;)

I'll agree with you Finellach - it's almost 100% certain that they'll make a tut due to the complexity of the game - otherwise i fear that the users would just give up before they discover the many features KoH offers.

I hope we get more advanced tutorials, I have some pals who are not online, thus never can get any tips on strats, nor can watch savegames, of experts bashing eachother.

I hope the developers will include more advanced tutorials, other than the usual, [follow this path of flags] ...[make 5 soldiers and beat up that poor bunch of villagers] ..etc ..etc....*sigh!!!*

- learn people that it is good to rush people early, in order to keep them down, then double the other enemy.

- just upgrade what you need.

- think ahead, and upgrade what should be upgradet.

- unitspamming (many only build 1 unit at a time, thus will never get a big army in time)

- aid ally [A] or rush the enemy [A]
Or continue the onslaught on your own enemy [B], and totally annihalate him. then rush onward to enemy [A]

..base line is, better schooling in evalutaion of battlefield.

- never let you soldiers die to an overkill, pull back and rebuild the forces. Else you waste too much resouces, on building new army.

Hmm possibly there will be a very detailed tutorial part, because the game will be complex, and "our" devs are the best! :D

I think there will be a good tutorial, but I suppose also that you shouldn't be too lazy to read the handbook. ;)

well thats a hot issue
since the game is gonna have so many stuff in it
it is demanding that bss make not only a standard tutorial
but a highly advanced one i would even be happy if it is
in the form of a small campaign (3-5 missions or so)
in order the majority of features to be introduced
becouse i'm gonna play the game anyway but some

would not bother to play the game if it is not nicely presented
so it should be a major issue in the development i think
and please guys from both EA and Sunflowers
do not hurry the devs from Black Sea Studios
i think we all would be much happier to see
a completed, well ballanced, bugless, and flawless game
even if we have to wait a month or so more

Maybe there should be 2 levels of tutorial, so one can have a basic about all that is needed to play, but an advanced for all the bits and pieces of detail that takes a bit longer?


By the time the game is out, these forumers wont even need a tutorial :P

I like to read strategie games handbooks like AOE with nice artwork in some pages.

What i would find very nice that there would be like in AOE a index in color with all deferent units and there upgrades.
Why i ask this , because i will BUY it ;).
