We are playing the English version of Anno 1701 over our local network. I host the game, my friend joins. We play medium difficulty with default options.

After about 4 hours, suddenly my warehouse and Market places are destroid. I was never under any attack, got no messege whatsoever.
White flags are waving and the mousepointer says: "acquirable ruin, use troops to acquire the building".
But my troops are gone and there is nothing I can do. My friend on the other computer gets a message I have left the game, but I'm still in it as I can see the game going on with the other players.

The first time this happened after 3 hours and 50 minutes, the second time after 4 hours and 7 minutes.

Has anyone ever experienced this or can anyone tell me what's going on in my game?
Since both times it happened after about 4 hours of play, could it be a bug??

Hi Eldu :halloha:

maybe someone send the Bomber (http://www.anno1701.de/launch/index.php?lg=en&l1=diplomatie&l2=logenaktivitaet&l3=bombenleger) to your warehouse??

If someone did, are all my market places and my warehouse being destroyed at the very same moment and is there noting I can do to rebuild??

:beek: all at the same time?

:nono: that wasn't the bomber!
he can only destroy one and than for long time nothing

...
is it possible that there was one using a trainer tool?
just a question...

No, I'm absolutely sure we both used only the original game.

Or it must have been one of the computer players...

Were the Iroqouis in those games? Perhaps one of the AI players fraternized them, then used their special ability against you!

The tribe's shamans control the elements and will not hesitate to call them forth to protect the tribe.

Rumor has it that they can even call up heavy storms and lightning strikes to destroy their enemies' cities.

There were, but the relationship with all other players and tribes was peaceful.
And should this be what happened, why doesn't the game show me anything about it? No message, nothing visible happening in the game on my island.

Just 'out of the blue' my warehouse and all market buildings are ruins with waving white flags and my troops and inhabitants have dissapeared. Five seconds earlier nothing was wrong, everybody was happy and none of the other players was negative towards me...

Sounds as if maybe you fell victim to a brief hiccup in your connection to the gameserver.

We were on a wired local network (not internet) and I was hosting the game...

Sorry, I overlooked that in the original post.

No problem...

We'll be starting a new game in a few minutes. We will not get to the 4 hours this evening (need some sleep to be able to work tomorrow  ) but I'm really curious what will happen this time...

Make sure you note if it was a newly created game that was played for 4 hours straight or if you saved before that point and reloaded later.

If you're using saved games from old builds/versions of the game and reload them in a later build/version it will create some bizarre bugs. We've seen this happen several times before. :bash:

The game was out for a few days... How can we possibly have used older builds?

How can I tell if my savegames arrived at Sunflowers? I did not get any kind of confirmation and I'm wondering if they received my email?
