IMO it looks awesome. That's how future strategies should look. Recomend to download walkthrough video (http://www.codemasters.co.uk/downloads/displayfiles.php?showdetails=13439) . I was impressed after I've seen it.

And demo (http://www.codemasters.co.uk/downloads/displayfiles.php?showdetails=13913) also looks very good. Unfortunatelly, my PC is a bit slow. Planing to change it soon:)

This game really rocks. If u have watched walkthrough video you had to notice how nice soldiers are climbing to trucks and on tanks, explosions, smashing windows, ruining buildings and oth.:beek:

How chilling I felt when saw soldiers burning and when tanks roll them to the ground:O

I'll definitely buy this game as soon as I see it (and when I have new PC:( )

Oh man the demo was great, most of the time i just sat there shooting at random stuff blowing it to smithereens. i love the destroyeable environment, i also like the direct control. It was very good and should do nicly keeping me busy till koh is out.:cheers:

I don't like WW2 games very much. There are just to many of them and they all look alike. Besides I don't find WW2 theme so fun, especially when we are bombarded by info about it almost every day...like it was yesterday. It gets boring...

I like it althought they should have put a tutorial with the demo i was having trouple playing it at first. I still can't beat it. But i am getting better.

I'm fond of GOOD WWII strategies. This is exactly the one.

But it's a bit pity for me personaly, that I have to play for Americans in demo. I'm thirsty to try Germans, which are my favourite (in games, at least).

Yeah WW2 is a good period for Strategy Games so many Theatres to choose from.
Nice game.

I also like to use the Germans{ I usally play the losing side in any historical game , to see if I can Change History}

Codemasters are making another WW2 game as well,

So who else is playing this and what have you managed to capture? Well i captured a panzer or what ever that german tanks was again, that big tank which can take a tremandous pounding. I did loose that mission thought. What happend was it was driving torwards me and was still in town, it fired but missed and the shell went straight for the building with the officer in it and killed him. I was like omg damn. That was a fast loose i had a good defence. So i just went around killing all enemy with my new tank and destroying all buildings. :)

IMO, you've captured Panther. Or Tiger, if it's possible:) I still can't win this mission last time Nebelwefer destroyed my Sherman and the house with officer:angry:

I think I need to refuel my tank or to capture any of panzers, to repair it, to roll through the town and to beat this f**** Nebelwefer to dust:angry:

the panzer you captured is a pzkw 4 panther D version as i can see when looking at the turret
this awesome(which i luckely happened to see on real life) is one of my favourite,never the less he keeps destroying me :D

this game is out here tomorrow,i ordered it and goona get it tomorrow
i like german weapons and vehicles so i'll begin with the germans

i captured the pzkw 2 (the small one who is supporting the panther with the high velocity gun)
i captured the pzkw 3(the green one at the start)
i captured the opel blitz(the truck)
i captured a kubelwagen(a german version of the jeep)
i managed to capture a hanomag(a german halftrack)
i captured the pzkw 4 panther
i captured the bmw motorcicle

i still want that pzkw 5 tiger who is passing by at the start :)

yeah bagpipe,watch it,when you want to destroy the nebelwerfer,in the left street there's another pzkw 3 incoming! and offcourse watch for the hanomag with AA gun mounted
note: if you didn't see it or found it out yourself,around the house where the colonel lies are parachuted boxes,one includes mines,other one includes a bazooka!!!!(which is very good against german tanks )this box also includes some shells,but they are to small for your sherman ;) and a third one includes a bren gun(very good machinegun)

in a screenshot at the official site i see a dude captured all the tanks,including a sherman firefly(this is the same sherman as the one you're driving,but only with a longer high velocity gun) so i wonder what will happen after the time expires
as you can read,i still didt play it out,when my colonel is dead,i kill all the germans,repair all the vehicles and i just drive around town,crashing buildings,i like the panther the most,well,i have 7 different models of it here in my room,so,i kinda love german heavy tanks :D

can you guys report some new stuff when you see it or if you played it out?? :D pleaseeeeeeeeee

I also like WWII weapons, used to collect models some time ago. And I see you've made a little... eh... mistake in numbers there.

And there are:
Panther is Pzkpfw V
Two Pzkpfw IV cames in the beggining (one grey and one in camouflage), these with short-barreled guns. These tanks got long-barreled guns only after G1 or F version in 1942.
Tank supporting Panther is Pzkpfw I (only with machinegun)or II
(20mm cannon).
Tiger is Pzkpfw VI and really I don't know how to capture it:D as it's only crossing the street:D

And about Firefly. I don't know it is a different version of Sherman or the same Sherman only in British service:scratch:

ehm,bout the firefly it has a high velocity gun as far i know and it weas indeed in british service
btw,when time expires and you killed the nebelwerfer,you get 2 tanks and additional troops,1 tank is a sherman firefly,the other one a standard sherman M3
from the left there are a pzkw 4 incoming and a flakpanzer(MIGHTY BIG MACHINEGUN :D)

then my computer crashed(need more ram) so mayby when you killed those 2 and cleared the town of germans(thats ur next mission) then mayby that tiger will be incoming
so keep on trying guys,mayby we can beat this demo together

Hmm how did you capture all of them you only get a limited amount of units 3 at beginning and then 1 or 2 more later in the game. IF you could make a walkthrought and post it here, possibly with pictures, that would be helpfull :).

i'll explain what i do every time i start :)
put 2 of your men behind the AT gun
and drive the sherman to the end of the sand road,leave it there,wait for the germans...
when they come,shoot with the machinegun in the sherman as many germans as possible and then just wait for the first panzer and the scoutcar,destroy them ASAP

when an set amound of time expires,a pzkw 2 and a panther will enter the town,you'll need to be ready for those 2
when your sherman is damaged or the AT gun destroyed you can do 2 things
1: behind the building the colonel is lying in,there is a crate,with AT mines
get them asap and place em on the crossroad,
2: in the crate behind the AT gun(if not destroyed) there is a bazooka,get one of your men to get the bazooka and go lay in ambush somewhere,i preffer the trees behind the brick walls in the left corner and wait for the panther and pzkw 2 to pass or stop next to him(remember,the side and back armor of WW2 tanks where the most weak spots of an tank)
make sure you kill german infantry so the bazooka dude will not get killed before the ambush :)

ok,so,lets say you killed the panther and the pzkw 2 in a very short time(which is the best)
try to repair the panther or pzkw 2(not the sherman,refeuling and rearming takes TOO LONG!!!)
drive towards the little park with the statue asap and wait around the right corner for the nebelwerfer to enter the field,drive around the house and blow it to smithereens,watch out for the scoutcar and the AA halftrack(note: try destroying the pzkw 3 first,another tank does do more damage to your tank then an machinegun does)but i understand when its getting anoying you shoot the machinegun cars ;)

ok,you killed em all??
when the time in the middle top of your screen turns 0:00 you get reinforcements consisting of 2 shermans and 3 troops

then from the left of the village a pzkw 4 and a flakpanzer are entering the streets wityh some additional troops(watch out,troops are SS sturmgrenadiere with panzerfausts and panzerschrecks)

ok,i managed to destroy them both but your mission is to destroy ALL german resistance in town,so simply said,no red dots on the map ;)
but i am one of those who keep a few german soldiers alive just for myself to repair all tanks and drive em around town,destroying buildings etc etc

and,my computer locks up most time i'm in that stage :(
so i dont know what happens after you destroyed ALL germans,mayby its mission accomplished,mayby that tiger will return(i think it will,in the startup screen where you choose the difficulty you see this map and a sherman fighting a tiger on that crossroad)

i will try it tomorrow but im gonna buy the complete game tomorrow so dont know :D

a tip to complete the colonel mission very fast
when you destroyed the first tank and the scoutcar and the panther isn't in town yet,try repairing the opel blitz(german truck) if not exploded,drive it in front of the house and leave the car,then they evacuate the colonel and you dont have to worry about the nebelwerfer anymore,you can move your troops around town so you can set ambushes and traps for the panther and later upcoming tanks and troops

additional info about the complete game:
the game will have 4 campaigns,2 allied,1 germand and 1 russian
the german campaign is in normandy when you have to try to stop the invasion in the days after D-day

one allied campaign is about a commando squad,the second campaign is totally market garden(the big paratrooper operation in the netherlands)
the russion operation is in 1942 in stalingrad etc etc i think

multiplayer is up to 16 players :D

and a lot more,i will keep you guys updated about this and i hope we can play together some day very soon :)

on the forum there is a mod for the demo so you also start with more and better weapons,an stolen but without feul being flakpanzer besides the sherman :) and the germans have other weapons and tanks

another tip from me; try to search in all the wreckages of destroyed tanks etc etc,most of the times they have helpfull crap

i played out the demo
btw,release ate is 15 june here :)

i downloaded a mod for the demo
now its nighttime,the germans are heavier armed,tigers and panthers instead of the small tanks,you start with a truck,a sherman,2 willys jeeps,a stolen flakpanzer and an AT gun
the game rocks more now :)

he should have given more infantry. i Still haven't got a chance to put my units ontop of the tank instead of inside it.
