No lava destroying colonies?

Ive seen the volcano but does it ever spew lava actually onto the colonies? or is it the max it can do is throw burning bolders :sad:

i found this:

The Volcano doesn't always erupt when it starts to rumble; with a bit of luck it will calm down again and the danger will be averted, but only temporarily.

If the Volcano then proceeds to erupt, it hurls glowing, red-hot rocks and boulders into the air and ash will rain down covering the Land and setting everything on Fire.

Thats all it does , real volcano's actually put out lava across landscapes :sad:
