Need some help

I got a problem, after like a year of not playing i decided to reinstall the game, but my cd drive literally shred my cd to pieces when after installing it and trying to play. So now the game is installed but i cant play it. I have a backup cd but it doesnt seem to work.
Is there anything that can be done?

Buy a new copy of Knights of Honor, for instance.

Also, I just read about the company maybe replacing your cd - but it might of course well be out of warranty..
