Ya'll have very good english skills. (bad grammer pun intended).

Seriously. For a bunch of Europeans who probably speak English as a second language, It has been very easy understanding everyone (including 4zzy and her prose-responses ;) ).

I tip my hat to every one of you.

So do i :) - IMO a forum like this one also gives us non-native-english-speakers a chance to get better and perfecting our skills in using the english language - around 90% of the emails i write and recieve are in english !

I have English in school for 5 years now. And I try really hard not to make any faults:D
And English is much easier than Latin:D

I've been a member of this forum for nearly six months now. The pages of my dictionary left of my monitor are far from white by now ;) .
But however, I really learned a lot in this forum and my english-skills keep on becoming better. :go:

Note the difference between speaking and reading/writing latin, it's pretty much dead, no? And noone is really sure how it sounded back in the days. Same with Hebrew kind of, except they reconstructed it.

Haegemon
03-06-2004, 20:35
my second is Spanish

I noticed that @4zzy uses that game wrong-sentence "All your base (LEMON) are belong to us", but I can't remember what game it belongs...

HappyAdolf

That was a cheat in a strategy-game. I think it was warcraftIII

Haegemon

All I know about it, is one programer wrote that instead of writte "All your base belongs us". It changes all the meaning. :D

HappyAdolf
03-06-2004, 20:50

i saw "all your base are blong to us"
in an old coren rpg-game
it was maybe in 1999 (plus-minus 1 year)
in the intro the bad guy conquered your fathers kingdom
and was staying on a hill with a massive flag
in the background was the burning castle
and with a strange accent he said
"blalala... all your base are blong to us!"

i simply can not tell you how much i laughed then
it was just brutal the vision and the words put together
simply unexplainable

and the lemon part is in fact a rasist remark
but it doesnt matter that much :D

Sir Turylon

lol

the All your base are belong to us. that comes from an old old game.

regarding yer style
I find it easy to read
since you speak in prose
and clearly write in lines
it does not hinder
the topic or response
your style is strangely nice
cause you can read it fast
and understand it slowly
so this is why your writing
is clear to this yankee
hope that makes it clear
