Monkey God help

Hi All,

Having trouble with the Monkey God scenario........i cant get the wood cause i have no ship. Cant get ship cause i cant research it. Research not avial cause i cant get to Citizen level. cant get to Citizen level cause i cant grow tobaco on the island. What am i doing wrong?

Start a island like you should do in a simple single map.

Yeah, before you even steal the gold, build up a town with shipyard. Randolph will keep finding tools everywhere so youll never run out.

What do you need citizens for? All you need are settlers to build a shipyard... :wink:

I played the scenario yesterday, and I had plenty of tools. Just build one or two marktet placed to get the monkey gold, then wait for the video, then save the game and proceed with building a fishing hut, two (better: three) foresters, and a small village with 10-15 houses.

I have settlers but i dont understand how too build a shipyard. :scratch:

How is it done?

You will find the Shipyard in the Construction menü as soon as it is available - just switch from one Civilisation level to the other by using the folders marked with the accordant portrait.

For building the Shipyard you will then need 500 Gold, 8 t of Tools, 10 t of Wood and 10 t of Bricks.

I was so stumped, I knew the answer had to be ubersimple. It was right infront of my face the whole time. A "senior moment" for me.
