View Full Version : Trading with friends in multiplayer
Well I was wondering if it is possible to trade goods with your teammate. Because if you put a 'want to buy ' in your warehouse, and sending your vessel to your teambuddy with the needed goods, and the Free trader was first, your buddies warehouse ll autobuy like 8x tons from the free Trader -.- instaid of your vessel(s) that are going between the islands. So the trick we use now is to throw the goods overboard so my teammate can pick them up, but this takes A LOT of time in the endgame. Would be nice to do it with an auto-trade route tbh.
Lookign forward to your reply,

Hm good point. I kinda miss the ability to set your own price, everything now has a fixed price which isnt really realistic in the context of the game (supply versus demand).
There is no way to set the prices of goods being offered for trade, nor is there a way to set the price you are willing to pay. The trading prices are hard coded and cannot be changed.
There is in game chat for communication, so your workaround would work, but they are looking for an option with less micromanagement.
Yes it was quite nice gettin a monopoly on something like gold or iron in 1602 then charging outrageous sums for it! :)
last night i had a dream http://www.cosgan.de/images/smilie/liebe/a040.gif

The Alliance pact allows you not only to Trade, but also to call upon your fellow players for military support.
One can build a ship and rename it like "Internal Trader" or something.
You can load the ship with the goods you want to give away to your teammate.
Your teammate can request Alliance help and you give that ship to him.
So this ship can be used like a shuttle ship.
And now I will have a coffee http://www.cosgan.de/images/smilie/nahrung/c045.gif
:hello: You think they ll fit such a ship in the game (within a patch maybe), because it ll be a MUST in most cases

It already is within your grasp, LadyH told you how even.
sooooo sorry BaldJim
I forgot to quote on what exactly my answer is
...comments that the Pirates charge higher prices for some goods than others.
Interesting! How does the German community of players feel about this?

:go:
sure .. some germans want to set the price as they could in the older anno games
there are always some they want the old times back ...
IMHO 1701 is a brand new game in the meaning of brand new handlings and features
Don't forget the reseach option "Translator".!
"This reduces the price for Goods offered for Sale by the Foreign cultures, who are also prepared to pay higher prices for the Goods they require."
