Pls forgive me for not read through the vast number of crash related postings .........

After crashing several times in scenario 3 (Hendrik) just around the fire/firebrigade, I "F10 saved" the game when getting getting close - and crashed again.
Reloading the saved game after restarting the PC results in yet another crash.

Something's definitively rotten here (and this time not in the state of DK)!

Hi KBjoern

I will give an example first:
my PC has never crashed !!
Another user told about such crashes like you did here.
He send his savegame by email.
loaded and  crashed at my PC

I think saving while a failure is running will damage the savegame.

Several crashes are reported by users.
Really most of them causes in heat, dusty fan, not enough power, pieces of old drivers, ..... or some software running in the backgrond (if you see or not)

Yeah, I've experienced this kind of situation in other games. A player will say they have a recreatable crash in a saved game, and sure enough, the saved game crashes on any system. But the error was possibly written into the saved game by the faulty computer in the first place.

If, for example, a player has some bad RAM, then it could be returning faulty values which are stored in the game. The game will continue to use the faulty data until it encounters data which it cannot use, and a crash ensues. A save at 20:00 minutes could result in a crash at 21:30, for example, but the seeds for the crash may have been sewn in the first 5 minutes of the game. Therefore, the bad data is carried within the saved game to any system which loads the save, but the originating system could be the source of the problem.
