Can SAVED GAMES be played on upgrade sys

Playing on my Pent 4 3.4 and upgrading to AMD 4600 with diff MB RAM AND VID CARD will I be able to transfer my saved games to the new system and be able to play the or will I have start a new game. Hate too because I am really far in the one I am playing now and would love to keep it up on new system; putting the saved games on mem stick to transfer to new system

Just copy and paste your savegame and profile folders; you should then be able to play your old game (and your old profile with your medals) on the new PC.

I didn't think of the profile file there was also a file with extension "bindings" what is that file for; It was also in the profile dir with the profile file?? and u say there is no problem with loading the game onto an upgraded system with almost all different hardware

I think in the bindings file there are the informations for the medals and the timstamp for the timemedal :huh:

I did it
I updated the PC, saved folder Savegames and Profiles
installed new last night
copy back and it works fine :go:

Well thats very good news, because im likely to have a new system in a month or so :). Finally i can play anno with maximum settings :biggrin: . Can't hold the waiting much longer... :sad: :wink:

We annoist have been sharing savegames for 8 years now and no-one has had any problem playing another's savegames. Just think of the many different system configurations our savegames have played on!
