If a Dutch speaker talks very slowly, then I can understand most of what they're saying. German is more difficult for me. (Native English speaker).

Well, I can only speak English, although I can understand a bit of Spanish(not enough to carry a conversation). I took Latin 2 years in High School as my foreign language study and can understand a bit of Latin, mainly used to understand the origin of some of our English words. And Latin is no longer a spoken language, so it is not much use to me other than forming the roots of some of our English words.

I used to study french at schools but thats quite a long time ago, Its pretty much erased now however i could recognize some words out of a basic conversation.
