View Full Version : [en] Serbia & NATO
Serbia got invited to join the NATO, which you probably already heard. I'm interested in opinion of the people here. I'll post mine later.
Well, it's hard to say.
On the one hand i like the european community and the NATO, and i think it's important. Especially for the european continent.
I know, the NATO is not the EU  but without europe, the NATO couldn't exist
But on the other hand, there will probably appeare some more problems and questions for the NATO
And serbia is a very young country (if you think on the dividing of serbia-montenegro).
So i didn't vote, sorry
But i'm not "positive", not "negative" and i'm also not "not caring".
So, well i am caring about the worlds politics, but at the moment i can't say, if it's positive or negative.
(the same with the EU and turkey:angel: ,but that's not the question here)
Only two votes so far, come on, people, is it so hard to vote? Anyway, I owe you my opinion on the matter.
Our president keeps saying how our country will become more secure and more investors will come as they'll feel safer. That's a bunch of cr*p. With our country joining the NATO we become mere servants. I already see our people dying in some pointless fight. If we are to get anywhere, we have to give up on wars and conflicts, and this isn't going to help. We would be in a much better position in case of some sort of world conflict out of NATO, as we have good relations with all three, US, Russia and China. This way, we fail to keep out of another war.

I'm neither of the three options, as I'm rather neutral.
On one hand, Serbia joining NATO isn't that bad. Increases stability in the region and more specifically - the most unstable region on the Balkans!
On the other hand - it looks a bit hypocritical to me. After all, NATO was the one, who bombed Serbia several years ago. And I wouldn't say this was very friendly! And now asking Serbia to join so soon after the bombings?

I concur with Xuca. I support Serbia. I still don't like Globalist encroachment into nationaly sovereignty (like the UN and the EU) I don't much like NATO either.

I don't like the NATO. Us Dutch are amongst the best diplomats historically and now our soldiers (who are pretty much obsolete anyway) are fighting everybody else's wars.
