How do you keep track of all your alliances and those of other factions? Im playing as Spain and I ve a sneaking feeling Im upsetting things with some of my alliances/trade agreements which has ultimately had an effect on Kingdom Power.

Is there an overview showing all relations?

Thanks-glad to get back to this highly intelligent game.

Firstof all just a tip: Don't make too many alliances, because mostly the profit of it isn't very high. (exept in the starting time sometimes)

To see the relations, use the political map. There you have overviews of the relations between all kingdoms. As well there is a map which shows you all the pacts between the nations.

Btw, it is normal that if you cancle any agreement, your kingdom power decreases, so do not always agree if one of your friends demands you to break relations with another country...

So how do you make money?

I ve only been able to do it through trade agreements (very slow) and basically begging ie demand on one of the scrolls when you get an audience. Its very profitable, as they seemed to have been quite generous in those days!

By the way, thanks , Kuno.

well, the better your relation with your trade partner, the more money you make. And the bigger the other country is, the higher the trade income.

But best way to mke money besides trade is to conquer provinces and to build some buildings that increase the profite of the provinces...

The begging only works in the non-patched version, btw.

How do you know if your version is patched? I thought I d installed it...but maybe not. The 1.5 patch that is.Sorry its the 0103 its called.

Well...just checked and my machine informs me the patch is already installed when I tried to install it...?

Anyhow, let s not let this get in the way of the main thing.

Doesn t conquering lower Kingdom Power? Mine originally went right up to maximum, but then dropped dramatically.

No, kingdom power does only drop if you break agreements (not helping allies) or do other "unmoralic" stuff, e.g. attacking relatives or torturing prisoners....

I would suggest that you use the tutorial first and then ask questions:go:

Thanks kiri_hacker. But thats why Im here. The tutorial , while as elegant and sophisticated as the rest of the game, tells a lot about what and where everything is. It encourages your "own style" of gameplay. All very admirable. But it doesn t deal with the "how".

I ve been through the tutorial twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. When it came to starting ,however, I was totally flummoxed.

So I forged ahead regardless.

Maybe I ll get more help if I go back to the tutorial. Thanks for the suggestion.

The answers of the most of my questions I found in the Royal Library. It is located in the bottom of the screen when you start a new game, right next to the Royal Family. Check there!
