Has anyone had a problem with choppy sound in the opening video? On my system, AMD 2.0 with 1gb RAM, GeForce6600GT, the video itself runs beautifully, but the sound is choppy (miss every 2nd or 3rd word).

What soundcard are you using? And be sure you have the latest drivers for it. And of course the latest DX9 too :biggrin:

You might need to change the sound acceleration as well!

Well, I already tried all levels of acceleration, including "none". The device is Realtex AC97, with a signed driver just released on November 23/06, so it presumably is as up-to-date as I can get.

The video driver is also current, so no problem there. Interestingly, the more I reduced the acceleration, the choppier the sound.

Anyway, the game seems to run fine, so I guess I shouldn't squawk about the opening video.
