I love the many facets this community has, I would not want to be missing any one part of it!:sunflower:
I totally agree with you. BTW I also write in both languages although my English isnīt that good.

I guess the most important thing, is that other people are able to understand what you want to say..maybe sometimes one needs to be creative to get the meaning of some sentences but I guess it works out well :gogo:
Besides, I really enjoy the international atmosphere in here, it's also useful for practising English, and I always love to get congratulations on my birthday from people from countries I don't even exactly know where they are! But that's only because I don't have any idea about geography in general.

...it's also useless for practising English... That's not what you wanted to say, is it?

I bet she meant "useful"!

Yeah that's what I meant
I think it does not matter if posts in another language are not 100% correct. That's the thing I've always missed at school: Somehow they put too much emphasis on not making mistakes, it's so bad that you get to a point where you don't really dare to use anything unfamiliar. The important thing is that people understand what you are trying to say.
When I went to school in Germany, I was always paranoid to use some phrases or certain grammar in English because I never knew if it was colloquial or not, although English is something like my second native language...
As long as it is understandable, I see no problems at all!
Which brings me to this!
Non-native English readers/speakers may have a problem with the following paragraph, but I read right through without even having to slow down to think!

That's always surprising indeed! I knew it, but now I have verified that it works in other (non-native) languages too. The only word I didn't get, even had to work on, was "sgtrane" [strange].
Yes, it works also in other languages than in german
I never thought this. And it's almost (but only almost  ) as easy as the german version :hello:
If you want the german text Dobber, say it. But the text is a bit different.

The only word I didn't get, even had to work on, was "sgtrane" [strange]. I will admit, I had to slow down momentarily on "strange", it took me just a moment! But the rest was a breeze!

I could read the text fluently too. Though I did mistake "rset" for "reset" in the first split second.
But we still need proper spelling, because reading a badly spelled text takes up a part of the concentration that is supposed to be spend on understanding what is being said.
