View Full Version : SUNFLOWERS have made my dream come true ,do they have the power to make my second!???
SUNFLOWERS thanks! yeh thank u guys its years now that i buy every single game focusing historical strategy games and there have been good ones BUT !!! the games had something MISSING ! yep when u playes these games u never had the realastic geograpichal feeling of what ur real borders are ! KOH made gave us the whole map of europe to play on!! PERFECT ! great guys its what all of us were waiting for !im waiting for the release man ! im a great fan of medivial and early exploration and colonial times and i have a questuon i would like to ask ! yes my first dream has come true with KOH!! now i have the second and last dream of my life(gaming life) :).my second dream is to see an early exploration/colonial (1490-1800)game containing the great powers of this incredible period( england.france, spain, potugal, holland, sweden and denmark maybe) and HAVING AND ACTUAL MAP LIKE IN KOH maybe of the american continent if not the whole world? (we must not forget that franca portugal and holland had many colonies in africa and asia ! ohhh GOD THAT WOULD BE GREAT better than sex !! hehe .and than again to whom would i go and ask something like this if not in a forum message board owned by SUNFLOWRES? yep i saw what u were capable to do in KOH and i know thw only ones that can make my (not only i can assure) SECOND DREAM COME TRUE!true true true !!! anyone reading this in the message board and agrees with me about hoping SUNFLOWRES make our exploring dreams in the other continents come true pls raise ur voice guys !!!!!! SUNFLOWERS thanks for KOH ! GREAT let us now :) my dream is possible or not !
Welcome to the forum azores! Yes it would be great for the makers of KoH to expand to other time periods and other continents, And there has been some discussion here to that effect, most of which is leaning toward Asia.
that would surely be great after seeing what SUNFLOWRES did, it woub be great having the same format as in KOH in an age like the exploration age with the world map !
dont know if it was frank fay of frujin, but they anounced that a 2nd part is possible if the first is doing well on the market.

I'll agree Bora - i.e. it would be errrmmm not-so-wise of them not to exploit this opportunity if KOH becomes a blockbuster which i personally think it will ! - eventhough the reviewers wont rate it as high as it deserves - due to the lack of 3D, which is almost the standard today ! - i know i'll take a "beating" for saying this, but i also think that most you will agree with me.
yes i agree but i love 2D view in real time strategy games !! dont ask me why mani dont know maybe it gives me the feeling of having more all under control ! dont know why i swere and i know that there are many that think the same !

how can we not agree?
I've noticed in game reviews that strategy games almost REQUIRE 3D in order to break past the 80% rating mark now. Let's hope KoH will be the first to buck that trend.
What is it about 3D? Sure, it might make for nice gaphics.... Graphics in RTS games are sooo small.. it almost makes 3D irrelavent. Who wants to see small 100 polygon blocky figures moving around in 3D. I'd rather 3D keep to games that require better graphical features.
three cheers for sprites! hip hip hoorah!

Yes you are right Henrik,3D are more popular:) ,but I'm betting
KOH will break the 90% mark:D
And about that beating maybe when KOH is released? ;) j/k:D
@azores welcome to the forum:cheers:

the point that KoH will also be playable on slower computers is that the game is in 2d, as i think.
somwhere on this page:
http://www.strategyinformer.com/
youcan also read that rome: tw will also need a slower machine then expected, BUT as you know (i hope you do) most of the game developers write minimal requirements on the gamebox, but when you start to play the game on such a machine, its often losing performence and that really lowers the fun.
so i dont belive that rome: tw will run fluently on a "weaker machine" even if they wrote it.
what i want to say is, that 3d is not all about. it doesnt help if the game ios in 3d when the game itself is boring.
so i am fine with the 2d
I totally agree with Bora, 2 things that a game must have are the playabilty and nice graphics even in 2D.
