Hotfix for French patch!

Hi all,

we are really sorry for the Italian texts in the French patch! :blush:

In order to fix your French patch 1.01 quickly, please download and unpack this hotfix data (http://download.sunflowers.de/anno1701_data7_corrected_fra_patch101.zip) named "data7.rda" and overwrite the existing data7.rda after having installed the patch 1.01. If data7.rda does not exist you need to install patch 1.01 first.

data7.rda may still be the issue.

Maybe the "hotfix" for the French will always work. What's to lose trying?

I wouldn't try the 1.01 fix on a 1.02 version of the game...no way unless Betty confirms this is possible and won't add any bug / incompatibilities...

This pisses me off i'll be uninstalling the game and leaving it patched to version 1.01

Yes i tried. And i can say you that you get strange numbers instaid of some describtions like the costs of each buildings. The mission with the asiatic ship has no describtion to tell you what to do. And some others things like this.

I just purchased the french (1.00) version and patched to 1.02 and now the merchant text appears in italian to me (plus some other errors).

I love pasta, but... :confused:

Is there any hotfix in view to help out ?

or need I to
1) install 1.00
2) update to french 1.01
3) install hotfix french 1.01
4) install patch 1.02 french ?

Anybody out there ho can help a french version user ?

I have no idea how to fix the problem after paych 1.02, you would think that wpould have been worked out after the same problem following 1.01. Maybe you could try several combinations and see if any work while using the hotfix!

I had the same problem and, after patching to 1.02 , i've re-applied the hotfix mentioned in the first post of this thread, and it worked for me: no more Italian text. Hope this help

Hello Zorba,

Well, it works, but right now I came on the special mission where you can "win" the asian ship as compensation, but no text explaining what to do !

So the french patch is good for the 1.01 and most 1.02, but not all.

It is quite anoying letting the asian ship go, just because I don't know what to do. I made a save game just upon receipt of the mission and will try to ship around horses and weaons around to the tribes and hope that somebody will give me a "thing" to bring to the merchant and exchange against the ship.

But a dedicated "french hotfix for 1.02" would be welcome.

Maybe someone else can post their experiences with the Asian ship. It probably changes from time to time, but maybe if enough people respond there will be several tnhings to choose from. Clicking on the freetrader doesn't bring up a trade window showing the product required?

thanks for your comment. I clicked on the trader but it does not show the required product.

I saved the game with over 10 minutes remaining for this mission and will try a few variations. There are some posts for this subject, will see and try.

But it would really help if there was a 1.02 hotfix !!!

As it is just an adjustment of 1.01 hotfix, it should not be that complicated...
