Hi again.

This time I'd like to ask about those upgrades for G80 GPUs in the 1.01 patch. Yesterday I changed my 6600gt with 8800gts, and I wonder if I have to change/reinstall sth manually, or does it just work automatically?

The FPS improvement is visible, although when scrolling through an island full of buildings it still drops to ~15 FPS.

My specs:

- evga's 8800gts :)
- amd64_3200+
- 2gb dual ram (geil)
- win xp 64bit

I don't think there is anything additional you must do.

I'm having similar problems. The game gives me a loading hourglass every now and then, mostly when I move around. But I didn't think it might be the patch, the 7950's and 8800's appear to have some problems with the game from what I've seen people say. They're not on the supported chipsets, but maybe it is the patch? Dunno...

these card were released after ANNO 1701. that's why they are not mentioned in the list.

Leaving aside graphic card trouble (Nvidia), one other reason is you CPU...

I've got a friend: he has run the game with an A64 (overclocked to 2.5GHz) and a 6600GT. He has changed for a Core 2 Duo (E6400, 2.13 GHz) ,same graphic card... and he has seen an increase in fps....

Game is also CPU dependent..
