My son is currently going to college in Germany and coming home in February for 'spring break'.

I asked him to get me the 'treasure box' and bring it over here with him...:rolleyes:

On second thought though, I suddenly realized that the movie DvD's are worldwide broken into 6 'regions' iircr...

Just wondering if thats also with PC games the case - would the German version install and work on my US-PC?

Thanks!

I don't see why not, people order a game in the wrong language and are able to play.

 Rnett...:go:

Sorry, this just came across too funny...

a) whats the 'right language' and
b) how do you play that...

Thanks though, I'll give it a try - as long as it not the wrong GAME...

hey C-F
will you tell us the number of your box in our collectors thread (http://forum.sunflowers.de/showthread.php?t=11815)?

About the movie DVD
in the box there is a game dvd and a audio dvd
audio dvd is playable with PowerDVD or similar programs
there is no movie dvd in there

I'm sure, you will be able to install the german game on an us pc
the differences I know are only for movies

C-F, if the English version will run on your PC, the German one will also! I believe that the only difference is the in game language and text!
I know several people that have both the English and German versions of 1602 installed on their machines!

Edit: LadyH was just a bit quicker than me!

@LadyH, I don't think he thought there was a movie DVD in the set, I think he was just making a comparison regarding Movie DVD's being different worldwide and was wondering if game DVD's were also different worldwide. :go:

Thanks for the encouragement - I'll give the :go: then...hehe, as long as Rnett doesn't tell my game its in the wrong language it should work then:wink:

@LadyH ,

sure, why not... - knowing my luck, it'll probably be 17002 of 17001 - you know, the export version with the broken CD in it because the cart pusher at the docks dropped the crate ... :embarras:

Btw that reminds me of a good ol' german riddle:

Und weil wir leben sind wir's eben zur Zeit im Geist und Angesicht,
und weil wir leben sind wir's eben zur Zeit noch nicht!

What word am I talking about? :plot:

/edit just having some trouble with the grammar...:embarras: /edit
