hey guys,

I got this game yesterday and im really enjoying it so far. one thing that bothers me though is that i dont know where to extract the patch to. i need to install it because my ships keep stopping at trade routes and its annoying me now. Ive sent the patch to data and the actual game so far and it still doesnt work. any ideas? btw, i find it really sjit that the patch details doesnt explain how to actually install the bloody thing! but anyway........
oh.......and also, my pc restarted itself during gameplay. any ideas on that?

cheers....

Welcome to the forum, Jamie_Pick! :halloha:

To install the patch, you will need to navigate to the location you downloaded it, then doubleclick the patch file and it should install!

If you wish to correct the trade route problem without installing the patch, delete the pier from the beach your warehouse is on and place the pier on another beach on your island. The pier acts as an additional place to unload goods and the Captains of your ships get confused were to unload when the pier is on the same beach with your warehouse port.

Hi J pick

welcome to the forum :halloha:

that restart problem is not easy to fix, if we can find out.

The best way to start is a new posting in the Technical Help (http://forum.sunflowers.de/forumdisplay.php?f=125)
In your start posting there, please tell exactly what happens and when.
Can you see a blue screen or not, and so on.
Every detail you know about the crash.
We need DxDiag.txt and Everest report (http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?ps=UE&lang=en) too.

To get the DirectX Diagnostics (dxdiag) results, do the following:

* Click the Start menu.
* Click "Run..."
* Type "dxdiag" without the quotes and press enter.
* Click "Save All Information.."
* Save the file somewhere.
* Open this file in Notepad.
* Click the Notepad "Edit" menu, then "Select All" (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+A).
* Click the "Edit" menu again, then "Copy" (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C).
* Post it into your new tec posting
