When I attack a province (or simply click on a particular kingdom) the game closes, this only happens on some games but if I load the same game and click on the same kingdom the same thing happens. Is there any way to prevent this?

Could be DX problem, can you give us dxdiag from run command?

Which game, exactly is it you are having problems with? Your post sounds as though you are talking about Knights of Honor, will move this to the KoH forum!

BTW - Welcome to the forum, Golkarioan! :halloha:

Looks like a file error - did you try reinstalling KoH?

I have uninstalled and installed it a while later (not for this reason). It happens before and after (different saved games and kingdoms though).

happens to me too. especially in the bigger (read: more exciting) battles, when enemy marshalls start to retreat.... :(

The descriptions aren't much help without data. As Rnett noted, a copy of the DxDiag might reveal what the trouble is.

Sincerely,
Phil

To get back to topic here, I agree it is hard to say what the problem is with the given data. However, since it only happens when a certain kingdom is clicked *and* it's reproducable, my guess wouldn't be a graphics problem but the "no king"-bug.
However, that one should be fixed since the first patch already... do you have it installed?
If everything else fails, you can still send in your savegame to the KoH support team and let them check it.

@ Phil: To improve readability of your posts as well as reduce the cases of eye cancer among the forum users, could you think about changing your font style? Thanks. :)

MUCH more needed and why we desire the file. If not sure how go to the first post of my Sticky in regard to problems with the game. I too use a Compaq, but many varieties and various hardware in each one, so we need the file.

Sincerely,
Phil

Also make sure you have the game patched to v1.05 international patch
and if you have a Nvidia Graphics video card then make sure you have Forceware drives 91.47 Good luck and happy gaming.

Not all nVidia user should use the 91.47s, but most should. The exceptions being the 5200 and 6600 card owners (except Gs and GT models). They should use the 91.31s. All noted in my nVidia Sticky.

There is also more than one way to supply the DxDiag. Noted in my other Sticky about problems with the game.

Sincerely,
Phil
