Ok I belive you guys now if you are pretty sure about it ... but if the king dies and has no sons why does his land split ... When I play and I have no sons someone just takes over and I get no problems exept for rebbels

You probably have taken care of nostalgia and converted all your provinces to your religion! The AI may not take care of this efficiently.

The first game I ever played, I didn't fully understand the nostalgia and was using the cleric to remove the nostalgia, I had conquered about 12-13 provinces during my military move. I had been at war with somebody the entire time, my King died with no heirs, I lost every province I had conquered except the first one I took. Out of 13-14 provinces, I was left with two! I later discovered it was because of the nostalgia.

I agree that KOH 2 could be really awesome. But it would be cool if they built it off the same engine as KOH and used the release to perfect it more, rather then start from scratch.

I love the game as it is! No 3d or zooming. I gave my Empires3 game away to my nephew on that account, despite my love for the colonial period.

but, to just perfect KoH, you might be happy with modifications. If there will be a new release, there for sure will be, on the same concept, a strong improvement, a development. Otherwise, who would buy a new game, KoH-2 , which is basically like the old one, only kind of modded?
in that case it should rather be an expansion pack.
Did you ever play the first medieval total war? the field battles were awesome, IMHO should be the target of KoH-2 field battles.
PLEASE, don't shoot at me

I think that field battles are good, they just need wiser AI and larger scale of battles (a bridge battle, ford battle, mountain pass battle etc)

What KoH 2 could offer is deeper and wider diplomacy, diferent economic system, some change of provincial system, diferent forms of government and vasalage. I speak only about things I thought about and where I already know some system how to make it working

I think all your suggestions would increase the fun in playing KoH-2 :go:
but I also think, that the game is excellent in the strategic map, but poor in the tactical battles. I do not play them often, actually... I hope they will improve them in terms of gameplay (not graphic improvements, I am not interested in that).

I voted for standalone without the Multiplayer. I'd prefer standalone to KOH2 sinply because it'd be faster around (so in essence I do not mind KOH2) I voted no MP because I think that option would be better realized if concived at the start of developement (hence in KoH2 - I think many remember how it went with Civ3 and Play the World, though Conquests fixed it admitedly), also I'd like the "dream-up" standalone to have many new features instead of dev focusing on MP and giving us old KOH with jus MP (being realistic and knowing that they could not spend all the time in the word doing the exp).

I just want to clarify one thing of my post , which might seem contradictive:
I like to have a zoom option but I am not interested in graphics: in fact, I don't want to zoom really in, I would like to zoom rather more OUT. But this is not critical!

I am not sure how the field battles could/should be improved, I will think of it more, playing them more often now and I will try to post a clearer opinion :bday:
