I'm not a modder so I would like to pose this question to the experts:
What aspects were not editable before that likely will be with the patch and what will be the potential impact of this?
This, to me, seems might be even more beneficial then the main fixes they did!

Let me rephrase...
what are the potential implications, now that we can see whats moddable?

I quickly skimmed through some of the files. The most noticable change is that we can now modify when a marshall takes which decision under which circumstances. That's definitely very neat.
And I saw that the morale-penalty for night-marches is still alive. It's just set to zero, so we can propably re-activate it (for those who want it).

Do you suppose this can have an impact on how well the AI sieges a castle?

I didn't see anything concerning the battles. Only strategic worldmap decisions.
