KoH US is version 1.03 (patch is included).
todays patch will be available for german, french and UK versions.

I understood your post to read that there will not be a patch today for the US version of the game. If so, when will there be a patch for the US version?

You have got to be kidding me!!!...Did you ever take a second to think that you maybe you should have warned the US players that there would be no patch today? I took today off of work so I could play starting now all weekend, no offense but that's really crappy. I've held on to this damn game for over a year waiting and hoping for another patch and now you say , oh well..not today?...how about this weekend, any chance?.. we paid for this game too , how about a little consideration.

Dobber reported that the european patch (GER FRA & UK) installs just fine on the US version.
But please, remember that this isn't the official way, so please make sure you have your installation CDs handy in case anything goes wrong.

Folks the patch installed and ran fine for me! I have the US version of the game, the patch install ran without a glitch! The game is running fine, start screen shows ver: 1.05.1532 ! Also the game does not require the CD to be in the drive now!

PS - However this statement is not being made from an official capacity! I am making the statement as a regular user!

First off I want to apologize for my overly excited first post on the patch, but having took the day off I was not pleased that I had no warning. I buy and get rid of games all the time but this is the only one I've held on too, by far my favorite, and will gladly buy and try anything Black Sea comes out with in the future...

now back to business, thanks for the info Angryminer and Dobber...Dobber please report any glitches you may see with the non-US patch if any...thanks!!

I played the game for an hour and saw no glitches, just awesomely difficult gameplay! AI has been very challenging thus far. :hello:

But that is all I can report for now! :sad: I must go earn a buck or two, work wouldn't stop for me today! :bash:

Ok, I tried the non-US patch and it seems to work so far, but still early in playing.

The main thing I did want to let some people know is that I was curious about the Hook problem that used to pop up before. The game used to clash with my Spyware Doctor software and I would have to uninstall the software to play the game. Well I tried it with the new patch and now there is no hook message and the game plays fine, so I can keep my security program installed and play the game. Thanks BS, that really helps allot !...awesome!.

That is probably because you don't have to have the CD in the drive to play anymore, so it is probably not doing a copy protection check.

No, patches are not designed to work with demo!
