This one is a little bit different.
I'd like to see who the most intelligent member of the Colosseum is. For this I have created a quiz. (no, I did not come up with these questions myself)
This quiz consists of 8 rounds. Each round has 10 questions and lasts for 48 hours.
THE ANSWERS FOR THE QUESTIONS MUST BE PM'D TO ME!
Here are the rules:
1. All questions are worth one point unless stated otherwise.
2. If I ask for a name, the first name is worth ½ a point, and the surname is worth 1 point. The complete name will give you 1½ points.
3. The use of Google/Wikipedia/any other help sources is STRICTLY forbidden. If I believe ANYONE to be cheating, they will be excluded from further participation.
So here are the questions.
1. Name the four British cities that use a subway-system. One point per city named.
2. Who was the leadsinger for Nirvana?
3. The titles of "Kaiser" and "Czar" are derived from what historical figure?
4. In which city is the "Rialto-bridge" situated?
5. According to the UN, which is the city on the Northern Hemisphere with the highest population number, and which is the city on the Southern Hemisphere with the highest population number? One point per city named.
6. Which rock star was injured in a 2003 'quad'-accident?
7. Which animal is 'Stripes' in the film 'Racing Stripes' ?
8. Which country's flag has a bible in the centre?
9. What is the study of birds called?
10. Which is the only planet discovered by an American?
This round ends on 4 AM, GMT + 1, thursday. Answers MUST be in by then!
I have entered my answers. Some guesses too. I hope I didn't misspell too many things since looking things up is not allowed...

Any misspelled answer will still be awarded with full points as long as I understand what you were trying to say.
It's not a spelling contest

48 hours per round, so 3 AM GMT on Saturday
I submitted mine.
Gosh, this one was difficult. I guessed all but the 4th question. And for the 3rd i have a funny answer.
About the first quiz: I never thought of putting Caesars first name (and I spelled him wrong too )! And Mexico City... Well, I guessed New York instead. I thought it was probably not right but I seemed to remember reading it somewhere. Actually I thought it was most likely some place in Asia, I just couldn't make up my mind which one to guess so I stuck with New York.
Frankish: Could you post the maximum number of points with the solution please?
Edit:
I also can't believe I didn't get the stripes question. It's so obvious. I've been sitting here for an eternity thinking: Which animals has stripes? All I could come up with was a chipmunk. But I was sure that wasn't the solution.
Okay, I'll stop now before I embarrass myself.

"Frankish: Could you post the maximum number of points with the solution please?
"
What do you mean?
I mean: You post how many points every player got. But I'd like to know how many there were to get in total. I mean it looks good getting 10.5 points but it doesn't anymore if the total number of points was 20. I'm just curious about where I'd be...

Can't you count, lazy?
Fine, I've listed it.
Gosh, this one was difficult.
That was my first thought, too. But after thinking a bit about it, i did pretty well, i guess.

Replied! Wasn't that hard, especially if you are fan of the movies, but... that country thing... couldn't figure that out
