View Full Version : bad boy factor? also a question about all-cavalry armies

So I FINALLY got past the very hard beginning. Its tough to grow when you start with only 2 provinces. I'm playing is Leon and I now control 5 provinces in the Iberian Peninsula.

I'm feeling pretty invincible right now so I'm hoping some tough AI kingdoms get mad and start giving me a challenge. Has anyone noticed if bad boy factor has been working? That is to say, if the human grows bigger does the AI get more aggressive against me?


Another thing I noticed is that when I make an army of just cavalry I havn't lost. Can the AI handle this? Does the AI ever build all cavalry armies?

This could be an indication that cavalry units are overpowered, is it possible to mod their strength?

btw, I noticed that according to the notes it says that the factor of AI getting angry at growing Human player is "tweakable". Is it possible to make this effect even stronger?

The only thing that I have noticed about all cavarly armies is that they sustian heavies losts as opposed to infanty and archers. So I would think all cavarly armies are weaker.

I'm not sure for how long.. and yet I got this far only once (I have 23 provinces)

it depends what armies you meet and what cavalry units you have. Being fully equiped by feudal knights is very close to be invincible. But when (even) feudal knights meet spearmen or halberdiers they are mostly crashed

This could be an indication that cavalry units are overpowered, is it possible to mod their strength?some of them may be, just like some ranged units (longbowmen) aswell. Some units simply have special bonuses which make them very strong. I think it's good for gameplay
