Refund me or patch the game? Which is it to be?

So is there even going to be another patch? Let alone I know you seem uninterested in letting us know what it will address (here int eh English forum), but is there even going to be one? Sorry but I'm not downgrading my video card from a 7950 to something slower for this game...

I'd like to know if I should be looking to recoup the money I spent on it or not. Since I cannot return it to the retailer (they don't accept returns), will Sunflowers take a return of my copy of the game and refund me? It IS defective as of this moment for TWO of my computers. :angry:

I would like to think that there is another patch on the way, but I haven't seen anything official on it yet. The last patch seemed to add more problems than it solved. As it is now, the game runs fine on my rig, but sits in a jewel case on my desk waiting to be finished.:bland:

Please post a dxdiac.txt of BOTH computers. The helpers (you know who you are. It is not an insult!) will be able to see wheather it is your computers or game..

Probaly about 90% of the people who have bad games, it is their machine. Not the game. Less the CD is scratched, broken, or it was put over a magent in the store, it is your computer.

daermad, you know as well as anyone that returns and refunds are not handled through forums, nor will you receive an answer concerning a return or refund through a post on a message board. You should also know that defective products have to be dealt with through the distributor either by email, snail mail or by phone to their customer service department. And in the case of defective products most companies only offer replacement of the defective product.

As for information on a patch, we will not know anything until there is something to tell. No amount of demanding an answer is going to speed up that process.

Besides that, get RID of those rotten video drivers! While they might be stable with the system idle, NOT with anything executed. Check the nVidia Sticky above and note it well.

Ok, I'll try those drivers. And there's no harm in updating directX, but... I have my doubts. However I WILL try it.

I tried the drivers you suggested (91.47). They did not speed up the game at all, and in fact made it worse:

And before you tell me- YES I know how to COMPLETELY remove drivers and install them.

Once I went back to the latest drivers, everything worked well again... if slower than it OUGHT to work (15 fps at times, and that's just too slow).

This game NEEDS to be dual-core enabled to speed it up or something.

There are many other reasons for slowness and/or sluggishness, but you seem so sure of yourself that you would not listen and reverted back without making sure all options were covered. I can tell you right now, many with lesser or equal systems (as I've checked long before joinging) have not the problems you do or they get them resolved when doing things in order and making sure that was all that needed to be done. So, my best to you, but it is not necessarly the game that is at fault here.

I have run into many like you before, so I'm not really surprised, and I did not infer you did not know how to uninstall and update drivers. It is just standard procedure to note as many don't, but you, like the others, would rather complain than go through all the steps until I would give up, which is not likely.

What other orderly steps were there to be? And how is it you assume the person you told (try other drivers) is supposed to *know* in advance that there are MORE steps coming. I've met people like you who assume they know everything, but fail to tell what they know in the first place and blame the other person for their own disability in expressing themselves.

If you had more steps you should have written:
Change drivers. IF that doesn't work, there are a few more things you can do once you change them.

I know it doesn't. I have an AMD 3200 (7800GS) and an Intel C2D (7950 GT KO) both with 2 GB of RAM. Like your two machines, it runs pretty much the same on both... which is... wrong. Something is wrong with the game's coding. I expect better than 15-20 fps when the screen is busy, no matetr how busy it is.

Changing graphic options makes little to no difference with this game... so something else is holding it up. CPU? No. I have a top of the line CPU. And even my old 3200 seems like it ought to run what this game is doing and calculating. It runs every other modern game otu there jsut fine. What on earth is so demanding of this game that it is so slow? Nothing. The answer is something is not efficiently running as it ought to IN THE GAME. The developers need to relook at their game and fix it.

Oh, but I understand you and perfectly. It is YOU who does not understand. We had a brief discussion by PM if you remember. You said you had done both and would reply with your results, but nothing more. So, am I to assume without notice you would change them back rather than ask if there was a reason for them not working if they didn't?! It is appropriate to take the obvious first and wait for a reply after doing what is suggested and NOTHING else first. There was also a reason you were chastized (as you call it not me and you should have asked before stating). I've been following you even before I first posted and was also noted of how you are as even that was obvious in some of your posts. It is you who seems to thinks knows all and not me. My help is still an option, but you and I both need to start fresh and get to the bottom of your problem as I noted I've worked with many with lesser and greater systems than yours and they have no troubles with game equally if not more demanding than this one. So, you choice. Want to start over, FRESH?! I willll wait for your reply if one is to come.
