View Full Version : Which country do you like most and why?
so...tell me the truth
I like Bohemia (i live there :))
...
and for example Teutonic Order - they have very useful (=very strong) fighters, its not easy to defeat them...
I like to play with Scotland or Ireland because they've got strategic positions.
I'm bulgarian, so i often play with Bulgaria too, but not for very long
I don't know that there is one I like the most in the sense of to play as. I play all over the map. Usually picking someone different to play as each time I play. Now if you would like to know which I despised the most, that would be another deal altogether, that one I could answer very quickly!

I like playing as Highlands. Not much room for expansion at the start, and a not so good 'Unique Unit'.

I prefer any of the United Kingdom, but my preference is the Highlands. I'm both Scotish and Irish, but I don't agree with the above as the Highlanders are very strong and mobile fighters using two-handed swords. Granted, only lightly armored, but very versatile. Only one I have yet to try there is Wales, but that will come soon enough.
Sincerely,
Phil

I like playing as the Teutonic Order. Light a candle, pour yourself a glass of wine, and watch those pagans burn and scream. Nice evening, isn't it?

Lotharingia all the way:biggrin:
Reason: Reasonable strong starting troops and becaus of it's provinces, I have the abillity to create Templar knights (which are my alltime favorite units) and it (most of the time) has some handy resources at startup.
Downs of the nation: starting inbetween France and Germany and becaus of the fact that I can only choose this nation in the early period (nation just has a very small timeline)
I mostly play as Bohemia, Jerusalem, some of Byzantine fractions (mostly Trebizond) and Armenia and Fatimids.
Bohemia: mostly small guy between large Poland, Germany and Hngary. In late period, among the most powerfull guys in HRE region
Jerusalem: surrounded by enemies, has it extremely hard to convert provinces. YOu don't face poor pagans, but mighty muslim and Byzantine forces
Byzantine fractions: states which compete to reunite Byzantia, also sandwiched by Catholics on the west and muslims on south and east
Armenia - a poor state surrounded by muslims and Byzantines. The patriarchate has to survive!
Fatimids - my favourite muslim faction.
I also like Rum Seljuks because they have Turkic tarkans in my mod, truly an impressive unit :knight:
I like diversity. When I'm bored by losing my clerics to papacy, I play as orthodox. It's fun to reunite Byzantia or to try to keep the patriarchate of Armenia alive.
BTW, there is an alternative thread (http://forum.sunflowers.de/showthread.php?t=3166) to this one with much longer tradition.
People don't normaly reason their favourite kingdoms, but the chart there could be taken as representative.
Should we merge them or not?

Wales or one of the Spanish kingdoms. Though I love to play as an orthodox kingdom, that can't beat the bow of the longbowmen. I love to unite Spain b/c it too has an easy to make unit strong unit that I use as garrison the crossbowmen and it is close to templar country:go: Perhaps I could play as Wales and convert to orthodox, that would be a challenge.
Should we merge them or not?
Somebody decide and give the word and it will be done! Elvain, do your Squire abilities include merging threads? If not Angryminer or I will merge them if folks think they should be merged.
Somebody decide and give the word and it will be done! Elvain, do your Squire abilities include merging threads?I can only do it in modding section.
I don't want to be the one to decide it, as I don't have the right here

I think that the merging threads thingy is not necessary , BUT I prefer if the two threads are not separate ('coz Elvain's post is for the same thing as the thread here,so the second one is kinda useless).Anyways I'm just a simple user , so it's in the hands of the modders. <(^_^)>
