View Full Version : 1602 and Windows Vista?
I was wondering if anyone has already installed Windows Vista and if 1602 is running smoothly...
ANNO 1602 was just tested under Vista...
It runs without any problems. :go:
You mean it runs BETTER then on xp?! :o
This is - crazy but true  - right (as far as we now by now...).
Nothing can destroy Anno1602 or make it unplayable.
What a great game :hello:
It is indeed!
Thanks a lot for the info.
By the way: It runs perfectly on my XP...
Yes it runs fine, but having the CD in and music on makes it crach alot.
This is good news - another reason to get Vista!
I always listen to my music while playing 1602. It runs perfectly fine for me under XP in whatever context.

Anno runs also perfectly with my XP..the only reason why I am not listening to my personal music while playing is, that the computer where Anno is installed has only 256 MB RAM..and managing Anno, XP itself and a music player may be a little bot much of work for this old guy

Maybe you shoud switch to another mp3 player.
It sounds to me as though he is saying, having the game cd in and the 1602 music playing causes it to crash a lot. He did say having "the" cd in and not "a" cd in. I may be totally off base but that 's how it appears to me.
Yeah whenever I have the 1602 music playing, I often get craches =\

Try to reduce the hardware acceleration of your sound and graphic cards to zero. If you are not sure how to do that, look here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303032/EN-US/ (Methods 4 and 7, but make sure to move the slider all the way to the left and not two notches to the left of Full, like it says. By the way, this is for both - sound and graphics).
RoadRunner advised me to do this when i had a problem with my game where it used to crash when i got into a land or sea battle. :swordfigh It worked for me, so it might work for you... try it! :go:
