I still think Almogavars are really nice infantry units. Not to mention Spain really misses another unit. There are far smaller regions wich have much more units. So how about it Frujin? :dwink:

Yes, Frujin. The almogavars were really a very nice and strong unit. They defeated Turkish, Byzantine and Frankish warriors. At the beginning of a battle they shouted two Catalan words: "Desperta ferro!!"(translate=Awake iron!!).
yes Frujin what about the FLYINGDUTCHMAN

I suggest if you have any game enhancing ideas; propose them for the expansion. I have already spoken my mind on the religious military orders, so if you have ideas for spanish units, think expansion. Look at Medieval Total War; they had quite a few units for the first one, but in the vikings expansion, they added a lot more units.

It doesn't matter how and when will they be added...in this case it's about Almogavar's, the important thing is to add it. I really think Almogavars deserve a place in this games especially becuase they come from fairly large province(Hispania, Spain) and they are really interesting and unique unit. Not to mention they would be one of the rare "true" infantry" units.

the units are now final, we cannot ad new units as we are close to finish. However, we use this forum and the suggestions for including them in future releases...

hmmm, so I hope famous (if not world famous, or european famous, than at least forum-famous) lithuanian cavalry will be in one of future releases, alongside with knights hospitaliers as a unit or mounted Teutonic knights and templars

Future releases? What does this means? Expansions, add-ons, patches?
Nevertheless I hope you will add in some future "release" this baltic cavalry, hospitaliers and almogavars. With posibble and not so important requested changes to Templars and Teutonic Champions from infantry to cavalry....are all happy now?

Because we cannot have two Templar and Teutonic unit. It's too confusing.
Maybe if we have Crusader cavalry, infantry and crossbowmen, we needn't these Templars and Teutonics at all?
*just thought*

You are comparing pears and apples. Not to mention 'crusader' is quite wide term while Templar and Teutonic are not.
Quantity does not guarantees quality...in fact mostly the opposite.
Do ya wanna say Templars weren't crusaders?
And Teutonic champion is quite a strange unit for me, he can be crusader and can be not.
These "Crusader" units could fit for all orders and to give us possobility to have both inf. and cav. (knights) of all of them. Or do ya want to have: Templar cav, Templar inf, Teutonic inf, cav, Hospitaler and so on... It wouldn't be very bad of course, but as ya said quantity is rarely a quality. So...

Actually I am saying just the same thing. Crusaders were people of all proffessions. There were certainly some Feudal Knights, Normans, etc... who were also Crusaders.

I want to have one Templar, Teutonic and Hospitalier unit. As I said before I don't like to have numerous units with same names.
