yes, I agree that the income from town tributes is too high. But this is a city with Admirality and a merchant guild so it's obvious that this province gives you LOADS of gold
But one thing I don't understand. You caomplain you are too rich, but you have 3 merchants trading for gold? Why? When your income is high enough there's no need to waste 3 slots on merchants, don't you think?
 18 534  Wow you are so rich   I have got ~50 000 and I want more... I think you are poor
gold, gold, lots of precious shiney gold
precious :hello:
if fact, I need gold for building, AI build lots of biulding I don't wan't/need so I destroy them and in the same minut I get new province
I build there hostel, tool smity, tax collector and upgrade of tax colector (howerer it is cold) + walls + admirality
anyway, there merchants are leftover, I needed this 5 star one to become king so I don't lose marshal as king
but how my king finaly got a son (as old) i fired them and hired marshal and spies
this province is my personal record, wich want last for long I hope

my money:biggrin:
after having 130 pids of land:wink:
but no 65 income
But it aint in my strategie to do so anyway....
My strategie is to use only 5 provinces for gold income and those are most of the time positioned around my starting country, after that I use every town i take as a ressuply center for my marshals, only time that i'm not following this strategie is when i'm after some kingdom advantages....
oh and about the pic, yes i have 3 merchants in place just for the fun of it:silly:
reason is simple, i'm kin and ally (harmonious) to the last remaining country (bohemia), so there is no need for me to expand any further. Yes there are lots of pids left but when i finally have beaten bohemia i'm probably around 50hours of game time which is a bit to much for something I already won.
PS: I finished this game around a week ago so yes it's a bit old, but couldn't resist to show off:biggrin:

It would be more if you could build a merchant guild on Merica, Cairo, or Rome since you have another port.

I had a campaign with Castille once, and united Spain. I don't know how, but I had a +2100 gold income. O_o Of course, with Admiralties built everywhere (including Sicily, Sardenia and Cyprus, which I had conquered), it's nothing unexplainable.

I wonder what would happen if you have the same kind of buildings like Merchant's Guild and Admirality but at Bagdad ... you would make a lot of cash becasue Bagdad has two Costal villages:hello:
you think that's rich? :P
you're wrong
from my experience, two costal villages wont help much eaven with admirality, province with lots of villages and merchant guild is real moneymaker
It can if you have alot of trade routes.
