Hi guys, I'm a ANNO user since 1602 (Anno 1602  ) and I have a problem with Anno 1701 with, as in the subject, the trading routes:
I have an island (nooo! really? Yes, really.) and a city on the island, incredible eh? However I was play a skirmish game (continuos play) and coloniers had the need to drink alcool but my island hadn't the required resources for alcool so I've colonized another island in which I produce alcool, after that I've got another island in which I produce tobacco for the same reason. The problem is I've made the trading routes from this islands to my main island but the ship does not unload the goods, they correctly load the goods from the islands but when they arrive in the main island doesn't unload anything and I receive this message:
"One of your trading routes is lacking goods"
and I have to unload the goods manually, always.
The trade route is simple: charge 40t of beer from island A and unload 40t of beer to island B. What is wrong?
I've notice the icon of the beer may be white backgrounded and there is not the number of tons to unload under the icon or orange backgrounded with the number of tons to unload under the icon but doesn't work with both modes.
What I did wrong?
Thank you for your help and time.
Welcome to the forum BlueAngel :halloha:
Did you set the unload to "0" (zero)?
You have to do so :smile3:
If you set the unload to 0, everything will be unloaded.
If you set the unload to 20, everything will be unloaded, except 20 tons.
The same with 40 t

It's working... goosh, I can't belive I've made such a noobish after 3 games. But am I wrong or in the past 1602 and 1503 the things were at the contrary??? I don't play Anno since a lot (before 1701).
Thank you very much
Your thinking was correct for 1602 and 1503, but not for 1701. It was supposed to simplify the trade route setup, but tends to confuse us long time Annoholics!

Hi everyone! Great little community we have here... ahem, my name is Dennie and I'm an Annoholic.
Hehe... seriously, thank you very much Flo for your response because that is one of the reasons I came to search out this forum because I was doing the same manual trading thing. Great! I can automate my trading now because there are more than enough details to contend with that to track my ships picking up and unloading goods.
Hi and also welcome to you DensterNY :halloha:
This problem was/is made very often, you're not alone
And what do i have to read? Little Community? :protest: We are a BIG community! :silly:
Well, most of us are in the german section...

Thanks for the warm welcome.
My deepest apologies then Flo, and yes I see that there are a lot more people in the other sections of this board.
If you'll excuse me I'm going to search for a thread that pertains to diplomacy with "the significant other" who stands as a greater obstacle to the building of my glorious cities than even the dreaded Pirate Ramirez or the plague.
Ramirez? Dreaded? He just want's to play...
Waht's your problem with the "the significant other"?
Open a new thread if you want to ask something special.
PS: your apologizes are accepted

I guess that joke got lost in the translation...
My significant other is my girlfriend who nags me about playing video games and not spending (ahem) quality time with her. I'm sure I'm not the only person here with the same problem. Hehe
Get the girl a game!!!!!
My wife and I have fun playing games (PC games that is.....) on rainy and even sunny sunday afternoons. Sure it must be a strange sight, both on our huge sofa, lap tops on our knees (laps) and clicking away. It's fun when she starts cursing because things don't work out the way she wants or when I freak out because AI wipes an island I need out. We help each other (try this......do that.....etc...) But we never have played online one against the other, guess we don't dare............ We did buy two copies of Anno 1503 with that idea, only to find out that it could not be done:bash: Now we'd have to buy a new lap top to play 1701 online as one is far too old (three years!!!! ) Any way for now she uses the older one to play Caesar III and Zeus and I got hold of the new one (her's........... ) to play 1701........ Guess it's all about "modern relationships" :silly: Big trick is not to spend all the time playing (PC games that is), just for some hours, then go and have a beer at our "local pub", go for a walk on the beach with the dogs, have dinner with some friends, what ever. Biggest trick is that she works in the morning and I usually don't start till 4 so some of my mornings diapear while playing 1701............
