Does anyone know the game Heroes of Might and Magic?
I have got Heroes3 and 4.
And the World Map of KoH looks very similar to the World Map of Heroes4...
Anyway, how did you like the games, and what was your favourite?
I liked Heroes3 with Expansions best. It had a cooler athmosphere that Heroes4, although the graphics are a bit old, but that makes them look better, and create a cooler athmosphere...

I am the Heroes fan! I had Heroes 3 "Armageddon's blade" and "restoration of Erathia", and Heroes 4.I like both of them,but there are some details in both which I don't like.For example in Heroes3 map could be better,heroes could fight in battles as unit and so on.In Heroes4 I don't like units "avatars", battle scenes could be better,spells too simply (remember "magic fist"?lol,stupid white simply fist flies!) etc.But otherwise I like this game.:)

I agree Heretic. Heroes 4 seems to be too simple in spell casting.

HoMM4 is like unbuyable now. you can't find it anywhere online anymore... only ones are on Amazon.com for $60 cause they are DVDs... lol...

HoMM3 is so much fun. ;) gotta love them war unicorns. :) get 2 stacks of 100 unicorns, 2 stacks of 20 gold dragons.. and 2 stacks of 80 grand elves... good stuff.

HoMM3 was Better:
More castles to choose, upgradable units, more variety of units, better graphics (they make a better athmosphere, they are not really good, but they are simply more athmospheric, more like a original game, Heroes4 feels more like a sequel. A bad sequel.)
And in Heroes3 the female Castle-Heroes and the Nagas and Medusas look sexier :D
And Heroes3 is just more fun...

I owned one of those games, can't remember which though, so I guess it can't have been that good...

And I much more like Heroes 3 castle wiews.In Heroes 4 buildings are in the same places and boring location on few hills.
In HOMM3 unitis are more imperssive than in HOMM4.
Btw,I hate harpies in HOMM4!

Yes, and it's all a bit messed up.
Harpies are now Barbarian units (former Dungeon)
Ballistae are normal units now.
No catapults.
No destroying of walls.
No defense towers to build in cities.
Centaurs are Barbarian now (former that what is Nature in HoMM4...)
Nagas are yellow now, not blue, and don't look so sexy as in HoMM3.
Haven't found Azure and Crystal Dragons yet in HoMM4, those supreme creatures in Armageddons Blade.

I have every parts of HOMM and I think that HOMM III is the best... It has more feelings about fantasy world, and music is so beatiful....

homm4 is the game
its so much more complex that i needed like an year
before i really understood what the game was all about
heroes3 is really great game i mean maybe the game
i've played the most in my short life
but homm4 is just MASSIVE
and when i remember that i almost bave up playing it
after the first month! i got so frustrated withi it in the beggining
but its like the best turn-based strategy EVER!

btw homm3/4 and q3 are the only games i've played
from like 8-9 months ago
got other addictions too (;) to Drake)

the first heroes i've played was homm2
but it wouldnt run on my ancient pc then so i played homm1
now i have homm2 the price of loyalty on my hard but havent installed it
i just wait for inspiration i guess

Btw, you said the Heroes-games are the best Turn-Based Strategy games ever. Well, they are nearly the only real good TBS-games ;)

so not true. :) You forget Lord of the Realms II, Civilization series.. couple other great ones. :) MOO... ;) as for fantasy based ones... HoMM still has no competition. which is kinda sad... in a way. hehe

The developer or the creator had no more money (they had gone insolvent), so they stopped it...

Yeah! They gonna make it a bit more like Heroes3 than like Heroes4, they said! And some new things, too...
But the third part remains unbeatable anyway ;)
