View Full Version : Housing capacities
Hi all, been playing for a while now and this game rocks :hello: I got a small issue however, is there any way to know the current housing capacity of all levels during the game ? When I click the population display I do get a level wise breakup of people currently living on the island, but what about the empty rooms/beds  still waiting to be filled when I upgrade ? I found this important because I keep the tax slider in dark green for a manual upgrade. Once the house evolves, I shift to light green so people can still come in and fill the extra space. Once the house is filled to max capcity, I shift to yellow to max out my income again (yeah I am greedy  ). Currently, its not a problem if I am upgrading just one or two houses, but it becomes tedious if I have to click on 15 or 20 houses one by one to check if they are full or not !! If I am being dumb, lazy or just plain overlooking something please let me know !
I just found one simple way to find out the max cap, I click on a house of the level in question and in the bottom right corner I get a number telling me the total houses of the same level. I just multiply that by its max capacity and get the answer. I play the game with a calculator by my side (don't laugh) but wouldn't it be easer if the game could just show something like this : Pioneers : 20/34, Settlers: 90/102 ? Comments please ?
Hi Spiff
First off, thanks for your explantation of the 'yellow zone' - was wondering about that, but didn't dare to ask...

... yes,... so what's your question?...:dwink: :naughty:

If you click on the population indicator, (upper left) it has a drop down that shows how many of each class/level you have...
Yes it does,
but it doesn't give you the total number of empty spaces left.
So far I could only find it on the individual houses and then you have to add them up by level and hope you didn't miss any - a calculator won't help you if you overlook a house...

8 Pioneers per House
13 Settlers
20 Citizens
30 Merchants
40 Aristocrats
Multiply number of houses by appropriate occupation figure, subtract existing population of selected class = empty spaces.
Hope it helps.
You still have to know or count the houses though...

Click on any house and in the info panel (lower right of screen) it will tell you how many houses there are of that particular type (Citizen, Merchant or whatever) on the island.
 :bash: :silly:
Of Course...as they say, look, listen, learn ... in that order...
Thanks, mate! :go:
My post was uncalled for, sorry C-F! :keks: & :coffee: as an offering of apology!
(Just couldn't help myself with all that has happened with me today, was trying to use a little humor to cheer myself up! Sorry that I did so at your expense!)
Gosh Dobber... all I can say now is ditto...
But I really, really liked my post...

Just realised that I've been answering a question already answered in the edit to the original post. Sorry for wasting bandwidth.
Unless you found my answers useful, in which case I'm not sorry at all.
Thank you everyone for replying. My net was down so could not reply before. Well, by the looks of it I guess I (we) are stuck at keeping a calculator by the side if we don't want to end up clicking on houses :bawling:
Do we have a potential feature request for the patch/expansion here ? :hahaha:
