The Queen wants to visit me but has requested a lighthouse. Although i have 2850 Aristocrats the build option for this has not been highlighted. It should become available at 2600. Does anyone know why? My population is distributed over 2 islands.

Welcome to the forum lynne(...) :halloha:

I'm not absolutely sure, but i would say it's because of your population spliting.

As far as i know, your people should be on one island.
Of course you can build up several towns , but for the building menu it is necessary to have the people on one island.
I'm not 100% sure  but more than 90%

I hope there is enough space for more people on one of your islands.

Flo is 100% correct, there have to be 2600 Ari's on the same island. The lighthouse is an island specific thing. You can build one on each island you have 2600 Ari's on.

+ your aristocrats satisfaction must be above 50% - bild some gardens, squares, statues, fountains ... etc. make your town pretty

That's not really necessary. Better lower the taxes.

it's not about the taxes, your settlement must be pretty enought for queen, and beautiful city - means higher satisfaction
you can read what you need for every bilding (materials; proper kind/number of settlers; conditions) if you point at it and wait for a while.

You don't have to have anything special built for the Aristocrats to build the lighthouse. The required number must be on the same island, then the option to build the lighthouse will be unlocked. As for the Queen coming to visit, she will come to visit with nothing more built than the lighthouse and the main palace section.

But as I said, you do not need the pretty pavers and shrubs(BTW-they don't increase happiness either) and the fountains and statues and such for a visit from the Queen. All that is needed for that visit is the Lighthouse and the Main Palace section.
I am just pointing out that there is no need to go to all that expense.

Anything you can build that increases Aristocrat happiness will note that it does just as the notation of the Lighthouse.
