The game was running absolutely fine while i was playing the tutorial (i had just installed the game) but when i got to the "naval battle" part it stopped running a few seconds into it. I then started the game again and tried the "land battle" part of the tutorial and it did exactly the same thing! I am very confused about what's happening and wandered if anyone had any ideas about what to do...

thanks, eggi4792

You posted this in both the 1602 and the 1701 section, which game are you needing help with?

Try to reduce the hardware acceleration of your sound and graphic cards to zero. If you are not sure how to do that, look here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303032/EN-US/ (Methods 4 and 7, but make sure to move the slider to the outer left and not two notches to the left of Full)

Cheers for the advice. :go: I've just realised that the same problems also happen in game, when I am fighting naval or land battles, it's getting really annoying now :bash: but i'll try your idea and see if it works.

Thanks again!

Hi RoadRunner, i have done the hardware accelleration method that you advised, but do i need to turn the sound accelleration right down to zero aswell or was it just the video accelleration?

1. Why don't you simply try?

2. If setting video acceleration to zero doesn't work, setting sound acceleration to zero as well might help.

:gogo: Everything is working fine now, thanks everyone for the help.
And by the way Sir_Henry, that was what i was asking RoadRunner about, he suggested it to me earlier.
