problem with patch 1.01 version. Help please!

hi,i have windows xp pro sp2 installed and i installed the anno 1701 spanish version ,but i just got problem which the patch btwn 1.01 spn and uk.version can not be installed on my game.saying the patch is not serving on languege that my anno 1701 installed.. :( ohh s h i t!

can anybody do help for me to solver this problem which will be very appreciatly!

unfortunately I didn´t get your problem:

You got the spanish version of 1701 and tried to install which patch?!? The spnish one or the UK one?!?

The spanish one should work fine..if it isn´t, you can try to deinstall you game (save profile and savegame folders) and then reinstall the game and directly add the patch (the one compatible to the language version of your game version) or check wich language is set within the game...


therefore check your registry in working place\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sunflower s\Anno 1701 and look which language is set there..

hi,two Moderators ,i do very thank for your rply,and also i have forgot to add.that my sistem xp is english version and the anno 1701 is spanish full retail version..so i downloaded two patches both spn.and uk.ver...but all cant be installed,okay i will try to do your opinion,

A.F.A.I.K the game and the patch do not depend on the XP version.

so if you have the spanish version of the game you also need the spanish patch ....

If you tried to install both, the spanish and the uk version there may be fragments left from the previous installation processes...if reinstalling the game and the installing the spanish patch doesn´t work, you should contact the support (addresswas given to you by Betty) and don´t forget to save your profiles and savegame folders :go:

Hi cp.bazeer,

we had the same problem here a few times with the spanish version. Maybe the following thing will help you:

Open the registry (regedit)
- search for: HKLM - SOFTWARE - Sunflowers - Anno 1701

Then you should look for the key "LANGUAGE" and if it is "SPA"

If it is not SPA, change it to SPA.
If it does not exist, add the following key: LANGUAGE - REG_SZ - SPA

hi,all,i have reinstalled the game and the problem is going on...and of cause i just right downloaded the spanish patch for my spainish anno 1701 but all happened at same as before... :( ,also i have re-try to do what Flo said.but no ,non-function...non serve!!! :(...


i recommend that sunflowers may do multilanguage-patch..

why i installed the spanish anno 1701 ,but the 1.01 spa patch can not be installed on it ?

Maybe you could also try another download link from another website :huh:
In the german forum, it helped. Sure, it was another problem, but maybe...
