Scenario 3

I've been playing the third scenario and seem to have checked off pretty much everything but 35 houses and optimized tax screw. Hendrik keeps telling me to build more houses, but there is no room! Right now I have 38 citizen houses, 13 settler houses, and 8 pioneer. Anyone have any thoughts on this? It's driving me crazy! :bash:

Also, when they say "optimized tax screw" what constitutes "optimized"? Is it the most tax dollars while the happiness is still green?

"Optimized" in this case means dark green... and, if i remember correctly, you need 35 settler houses to finish but the will only upgrade while the taxes are in the dark green area.

It appears that there is a bug in that scenario, because I started over and it progressed quickly. I originally had some trouble figuring out what I was supposed to do about those logging huts and I suspect that I managed to get everything out of order and it just wouldn't acknowledge how many houses I had built. I just won the scenario in 15 minutes or so with maybe a third as many houses.

As much as I like this game, I don't appreciate all of the hand-holding in the scenarios. I'd like to be given at least the opportunity to figure things out on my own before the game starts nagging me.

I hate the quickness with which the suggestions from the narrator(in this case, Hendrik) are given also! I try to beat them to the punch, but most time it isn't possible to get it done before they tell you what you need.
