Hi All: I'm wondering...Is there a 1701 A.D. that's sold in the USA with a printed paper manual? I found the game @ www.gogamer.com & there are plenty on eBay's website, but all of the eBay auctions say "Imported version no manual included"
I would think a paper manual would come in handy with a game like this. I'm I thinking straight?
Any & all insight would be appreciated!
Regards,
Alex

I am not sure about the international versions, but if you buy at amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Aspyr-Media-11441-1701-A-D/dp/B000HX1P5E/ref=sr_1_1/002-7836344-9492856?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1174041033&sr=8-1) the game should include a manual
There are tool tips and an anno-wiki within the game..and if you play the tutorial you get al lthe basics you need to play :go:
I ordered mine from EB Games/Gamestop. It is the US 1701 AD version distributed by Aspyr and it has the printed manual. It is being sold in places like EB Games retail stores, Target, Circuit City and some others as well.
The one from GoGamer is from Aspyr and should also have the manual!
Hi Alex,
in the regular US version of ANNO there is a detailed manual included. :go:
I worry about the offered games being no "official versions"...

Wow...Thank you everybody for the quick reply! I just like games with a manual that's detailed in nature. I recentley purchased Stronghold 2 Deluxe & Settlers V series from eBay & none of the games had a manuals! Sigh....
I've played Knights of Honor (another Sunflower game) & other "Builder'Type" games like Tropico, Knights & Merchants (fun game BTW) So, I guess I'll enoy 1701 A.D. I'm D/L the German demo right now. I hope it has a Englsih translation in there!
I'll buy it from GoGamer.com (good software website) because they have a decent amount of bargin bin specials most of the time.
Thanks aagin for all of your insight! Much appreciated!
Alex
Hi again,
you don't need to download the german version of the demo...
Here (http://www.anno1701.com/launch/index.php?lg=en&l1=downloads&l2=demo) you will find the english demo download links. :go:
Betty, you mentioned the tutorial. I looked into the tutorial for a little bit right after I had installed the game. After a short while, I thought I was smart enough to actually start a game. Now as I am in the game and would like to go back to go through a tutorial, I can't seem to find out how to get to the tutorial (sounds dumb, but it's true). Any help? Thanks!
The tutorial is listed in the game menu, it might be listed as Introductory!
Thanks Dobber! I found it last night and went through all of the tutorials and it was helpful for me to understand the game better.
Good! And now you should have a gold medal! :go:
