Advanced Mines

Some of the mines I have seen (after way too many hours of playing) say something about deep ore mines and unlimited resources- but on my building selection all I see is the ore mine with the little "1" on it. I did the research in the school, but still don't see where I can get the next level of mine. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi hstrygeek and welcome to the board! :halloha:

If you want to upgrade your mines, you have to simply click the green arrow at the upper border of the accordant building window.

But: You can only upgrade endless deposits (tooltip).

to research your mine upgrades you have to follow the warehouse 3, pier, stone blasting etc... route of reseach....

the second last reserach item in that line allows for upgrade of clay and marble quarries and the last item allows for upgrade to deep ore mines

once you have these completed... click on your mine and you will see a green upward arrow in the bottom-left of your play screen above the mine info.

as previousely mentioned you can only upgrade mines built over unlimited reseources sites

To answer your question in the context it was asked, you will not see a building icon in the build menu for a deep mine. You cannot build a deep mine, you first build the regular mine, then upgrade it to the deep mine in the manner that has been explained(clicking on the mine and then clicking the green upgrade arrow).

Got it! You guys are awesome. I can't wait to get back home and upgrade the mines. (I would have done it here at work but with my luck the boss would walk in and that would be the last of me having a laptop.)
