I'm playing with Bulgaria and I have conquered all catolic kingdoms \except Papacy\. There are only 7 kingdoms and only the Pope is catolic. Now look at the pictures \pope started crusade, but no one will lead it\ :

no it's not a bug. I've had a crusade declared against me when I was a catholic kingdom. Chances are you got excommunicated awhile ago when you destroyed too many catholic kingdoms.

He is not a Catholic kingdom, he is Orthodox! And the only Catholic kingdom left is the Papacy, which never leads a Crusade. The Pope calls for a Crusade, but there is no one to lead the Crusade!

Well, easy to remedy that, kill off the papcy.

I would be careful about leaving the Papacy intact with that many catholic provinces in your kingdom.

If the Papacy splinters, or your king dies without an heir, or another kingdom succeeds in a Spy action, you could find yourself with many resurrected catholic kingdoms as your enemies.

I've seen that message before ... but just make sure that there aren't any catholics around (in or outside your kingdom) that can take up the cross.
