in regards to post #111 in the found a bug thread:
I think I found a bug (US 1.01) that has to do with market carts not picking up goods like it suppose to. I could not not find the list of issues address with the 1.02 patch for other versions (which has not been released yet for the US version).
Anyway, it seems to be limited to islands previously owned by natives. First time it showed up I re-arranged the roads and markets and was able to re-start pick up from the affected buildings. One, was a blossom plantation right next to my warehouse and connected by road to it but "collection not possible" was the only clue it gave (yes, it had product). I ran a road to a market that was further away and pick-up resumed. Thought maybe it was just a glitch. (this was on the Asian's island). Other buildings affected were the iron mine and a smelter.
Next time it happened was on Ramirez's former holdings. I had a tobacco chain set up, and the tobacconist had road access to both the warehouse and a market but the "collection not possible" struck again. I tried different road paths, cutting off access to one of the trade buildings, nothing worked. I got irritated at it and just moved the building (shame on the waste).
Again, it repeated with a stud farm. This time there was no odd road paths to follow and the farm was clearly inside the market radius. I reloaded a previous save and changed the road path to a different side of the building and it did not repeat (yet).
In all instances this has happened, it has hit after production had been running for a while, and pick-ups had been previously made. The building acts like it don't have road access (instant collection not possible), but obviously it does as it was working fine. There was no indication of saboteur activity. It would persist even when the trade building was able to send wagons to other buildings.
Next time it happens I will take a screen shot and make a bug save if necessary.
So, has this been addressed in the 1.02 patch?
I patched to 1.02 and this collection bug struck right off the bat (about 1 min into the game). It could be because this save was started under 1.01, but I doubt it was fixed anyway now.
So until the next patch, I would suggest NOT colonizing any previously owned by a colonial because you can't count on it's productions. This last time it hit while at war with the Queen and Madame Nadasky. bad time for that.
BTW, shouldn't this be unstickied and a new post-patch 1.02 thread be started? (hint. please)
